Iwate Rail Modelers' Circle Sister / Japan Rail Modelers
Sister Club Agreement

Iwate Rail Modelers' Circle (IRC) and Japan Rail Modelers of Washington, DC (JRM), as friends whose common hobby of modeling Japanese railroads crosses the differences of country, culture, and language, to deepen their bonds of friendship, hereby enter into a "Sister Club Agreement".

In addition to supporting their own members’ hobby activities, both clubs shall use model railroading to stimulate the public imagination and promote cultural understanding through the following activities:

1. Setting up an information display about the sister club at exhibitions.
   
   
2. Exchanging information about railroad models and railroads in each country.
   
   
3. lkAny other activities that further the objective of friendship between the clubs.

In conjunction with this agreement, both clubs hereby show appreciation for Matthew Davis, whose participation in both clubs made this link possible.

When signed by representatives of both organizations, this agreement will become effective on the date noted below.

岩手鉄道模型仲間の会（ＩＲＣ）とジャパン・レイル・モデラーズ・オブ・ワシントンＤＣ（ＪＲＭ）は、国や
文化、言語などの違いを超え「日本をテーマとした鉄道模型」という共通した趣味を持つ仲間として、
友好親善の絆を深めるため、ここに「友好クラブ協定」を締結する。
両団体は以下に示す活動を通じ、会員の趣味活動がより充実したものになるよう努めるとともに、鉄
道模型を通じた地域振興や人々に夢を与えるなどの社会的責任を果たすものとする。

1. 鉄道模型運転会開催時に、相手の団体を紹介するコーナーを設ける
   
   
2. 自国の鉄道事情や鉄道模型に関する情報を交換する
   
   
3. その他、友好協定の趣旨にふさわしい活動を展開する

以上の合意を確認するとともに、両団体を結ぶきっかけを作ったマシュー・デイヴィス氏に敬意を表す
る。
この協定書に両団体の代表者が署名し、下記の期日をもって効力を発揮するものとする。
